A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete email address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited bulk messages, but this problem can be solved using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot forward inbound emails to a third-party email address.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly in case you’ve got a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet exceptionally user-friendly, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you will see a mini "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will enable the feature, clicking on it for a second time will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we offer will permit you to configure a catch-all email mailbox with ease even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you have already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you don’t need this feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
